Stars Shine in Diamonds and Yellow Gold at the 62nd Emmy Awards
Diamond necklaces and yellow gold set with colored gems shone on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards this past weekend, along with drop earrings and cuff bracelets.
Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara paired her Carolina Herrera gown with one diamond and yellow gold cuff bracelet, while Temple Grandin actress Julia Ormond opted for two yellow gold cuff bracelets, one on each wrist. To top off her look, Julia wore gold pendant earring and a yellow gold ring glimmering with diamonds. Glee stars Jayma Mays and Jenna Ushkowitz were also on board the double wrist trend, sporting yellow gold bracelets on the left and right wrist. Recently married True Blood star Anna Paquin stacked black and gold bangles on both wrists as well, to compliment her black and gold Alexander McQueen dress.
Other stars chose to make a statement with a large necklace. Glee’s Lea Michele wore a large platinum mesh style set with multi-colored diamonds. Dancing With the Stars host Brooke Burke also went big, donning a yellow diamond necklace with square-, pear- and briolette-cut diamonds. Friday Night Lights actress Connie Britton wore a stunning diamond pavé ball lariat necklace.
The hottest trend of the night was black diamond or colorless diamond designs set into blackened metals. Tina Fey, who made the audience laugh the hardest of the night with her Glee opener, paired her gown with a black diamond tassel bracelet. Rose Byrne wore a black diamond and yellow gold cuff bracelet on her wrist and Kelly Osbourne showed off a black and colorless diamond and platinum bracelets and a pair of platinum earrings with 14 carats of black diamonds per each ear. Actress Lauren Graham had blackened platinum and diamond star earrings and Kyra Sedgwick wore a pair of blackened platinum drop earrings.
Colorless diamond drop earrings set in white gold or platinum and paired with colorless diamond bangles or cuffs were another trend and dazzled on Kim Kardashian, Keri Russell and Nina Dobrev.
