Things between Jessica Simpson and her new beau Eric Johnson got serious super quick. Just how serious? According to those in the gossip know, they may already be engaged!

The latest headline from In Touch exclaims, “Jess’ guy is buying a ring!”

Eric’s divorce was recently finalized, so the timing works. They’re very affectionate in public and she seems much happier than she has been in other relationships (cough, John Mayer).

According to a friend of Eric, he “started shopping for an engagement ring, since he’s going to propose over Christmas – if he can wait that long.” They’ve even started premarital counseling at a local Christian church, and are planning on “meeting with their minister.”
