Crystal Bowersox Gets Married In A Custom Ring!
A big congrats goes out to everyone’s favorite dread-locked American Idol contestant, Crystal Bowersox. She tied the knot this weekend with Brian Walker.
The two had been friends for a long time and it recently turned romantic, followed by a whirlwind engagement. “Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now,” Crystal told PEOPLE. “I can’t believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found so much laughter, love, and light within each other. We’re one happy WalkerSox family.”
Crystal, ever the hippie, wore a hemp and cotton gown from Vermont designer Tara Lynn that featured macramé, seashell and bead detailing for the ceremony at the club where they met during Open Mic Night six years ago.
Brian designed the rings himself and then had them made by a jeweler. This is an option many people take and jewelers like Diamond Ideals can create custom designs. Crystal’s son Tony, 1 1/2, from a previous relationship, served as ring bearer.
Around 60 guests watched the ceremony and attended a reception featuring a laughing Buddha cake from a local organic and sustainable business, and performances from the groom and several musician pals.
