David Lauren & Lauren Bush Tie The Knot In Western Style
Designer Ralph Lauren’s son David tied the knot with Lauren Bush, the granddaughter and niece of George H.W. and George W. Bush, this weekend at the Lauren family’s Colorado ranch this weekend. The affair was Western theme and mixed dynasties of fashion and politics.
Where: The Double RL Ranch, set outside of Telluride, was where parts of the film True Grit were filmed and spans 17,000-acres.
Dress Code: The dress code for the occasion was “black tie with a Western twist.”
The Dress: Lauren Bush, now known as Lauren Bush-Lauren, wore an “intricately embroidered Victorian-style gown” designed by her father-in-law, with the help of Vera Wang. The groom, 39, wore a “vintage Lincoln era-inspired tuxedo.”
The Guest List: Former President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush, cousins Jenna and Barbara Bush and uncle Jeb Bush. Ralph Lauren and Ricky Lauren, the groom’s parents and Dylan Lauren.
Ceremony: There was a softball game, and picnic prior to the main event. The couple were wed in a Jewish ceremony. To make it more Western, they entered in a a horse-drawn carriage. On Monday, everyone head to a rodeo.
