Over 200 Shop The ‘Running of The Brides”

Barney’s Warehouse sale has nothing on this. NY department store Filene’s held its annual ‘Running of the Brides’ this weekend, drawing more than 200 brides with the promise of wedding dresses worth $10,000 for just $249.
An additional draw-the Broadway cast of Mama Mia was on hand to add a celebrity flair. And while in most situations they would be the center of attention, the brides were focused on finding their deal.

Some brides traveled from as far away as Washington to score a deal, staying overnight at a hotel and joining the line which started at 4am-4 hours before the store opened.

Many of the brides worked in teams.  They tried in the middle of the chaos, stripping down to their skivies as mothers, sisters, and bridesmaids scoured the store and brought them their finds.
